Delbert McDougal, the subject of the article below, has been hired by our Mayor and Council under an agreement similar to Irving's, to develop the DART Station area. Farmer Branch's contract with McDougal stated that he would purchase land from the City and break ground on a 200 unit apartment complex by January 1, 2010. To date he has done neither; the City hasn't forced the issue by terminating the land purchase contract but may be forced to find another development company. Read the articles below to find out more about the McDougal family's businesses.
