BF to Host Candidate Forum April 17 at Rec Center

Branch Forum is pleased to announce it will conduct a candidate forum April 17, 2014 in the Oak Room, Farmers Branch Recreation Center, 14050 Heartside Place. The doors will open at 6:30 PM for an opportunity to meet your friends and neighbors; refreshments will be available. The program will commence promptly at 7 PM and will conclude around 8:45 PM. Please plan to attend this important event so you can vote with best available knowledge of the candidates and issues.

The program includes only candidates for City offices, Mayor and District 2, to better cover the issues. The format will include an opportunity for opening and closing statements by each candidate and several questions for each candidate, some prepared in advance and some on the spot.

We have commitments to attend from five of the six candidates in the two races (Carol Dingman and David Koch for Mayor; Luther Bernstein, Harold Froehlich, and Garrett Smith for District 2). We're hoping the Bob Phelps will also join us.

Please join us April 17 and inform yourself. Please also invite your friends and neighbors.

Remember, early voting runs from April 28 through May 6 and election day is May 10. Please visit Branch Forum for hours and polling places. If you need a mail ballot, see our site to get the form and instructions.

For additional info about the candidates, you should also review the DMN's side by side comparisons. See these at Mayor or Council District 2.
